Eagle Moon Drum by Herb Rice

This Eagle Moon Drum is 14" in diameter.    It is constructed on a woodframe with a raw hide stretched over it.

In Herb's Coast Salish culture, the drum is used in traditional ceremony.    The drum represents the heartbeat of our mother, The Earth.

The painting depicts an eagle with a moon on its wing.  The Eagle represents freedom and vision.   The moon represents transition.
